The JKS Flexible Reefer Tank was designed for our customers who need to ship their valuable liquid product in a temperature controlled environment.   The design and construction of the Reefer Tank differs significantly from the conventional pillow tank, to allow it to be used inside a refrigerated box container - without the need for bulkheads or harnesses.   The unique design, fabricated into the flexible tank during initial manufacturing, makes sure that contact with the sides of the refrigerated box is kept to a minimum. This eliminates the need for reinforced, corrugated container sides and allows air movement around the Reefer Tank. The coated fabric used for these Reefer Tanks also makes sure that air movement is maintained beneath the unit.   The Reefer Tank opens up new opportunities for the shipment of a wider range of bulk liquids, such as juices, juice concentrates, fortified wines, etc., and offers a cost effective alternative to refrigerated tank containers, IBC’s or individual drums. The Reefer Tank is available in capacities up to 16,000 liters, and it has been designed for use in a standard 20-foot refrigerated box. It is available in our current range of coated fabrics, and choice will depend on the liquid to be transported. Consult JKS for the material most suited to your individual needs.   The use of the one-way, disposable Reefer Tank, will mean there is absolutely no risk of cross contamination between loads, significantly reduce or eliminate demurrage costs, and eliminate cleaning and re-certification of tank containers. It can also reduce repositioning charges for the container.   The Reefer Tank can also be used in a standard 20-foot box container without the need for expensive and heavy wooden bulkheads.
